1953 Born in Sydney, moved to Melbourne 1956.
1974 Diploma of Art & Design, Prahran College of Advanced Education.
1975 Diploma of Education, Melbourne State College.
1985 Completed 10 years of Secondary School Teaching and resigned as the Head of
the Creative Arts
Department to start painting part-time and
established and run the "Mt.Aitken Art Gallery" in Gisborne South, Victoria.
1986 Melton Council purchased a painting.
1987 Melton Council purchased second painting.
1988 Commissioned to co-ordinate a Bicentennial Mural.
Mt.Aitken Estates Winery purchased a painting.
1989 Left the Gallery to start full-time painting.
1990 Accepted into the "Australian Guild of Realist Artists".
1991 Abon Engineering purchased a painting.
1993 Accepted into the "Victorian Artists Society".
1994 Published in the book "50 Australian Artists", edited by John Mutsaers.
2 paintings purchased for the Smorgon Family Collection.
1995 Tintern Anglican Girls Grammar School purchased a painting for their Collection.
A painting purchased by Selkirk Bricks Company.
Commissioned to paint a Portrait for ABON Engineering.
1997 Accepted into "The Australian Society of Miniature Art, Victoria".
Accepted into the "Wildlife Art Society of Australasia".
Judged the Melbourne High School Art Exhibition.
1998 Delshan Art Gallery purchased paintings for their Private Collection.
2000 With his wife, moved into their new home on the edge of the NSW Far South
Coast.

2002 Invited to participate in the "Biennale Internazionale Dell'arte Contemporanea" in
Italy.
2003 Richard is labelled an "Ultra-realist Painter", because through composition, colour,
tone and meticulous detail, a 3-Dimensional illusion is created on his "Quality
Paintings".
2005 Starts publishing Limited Edition Prints of his latest works as Giclee
Reproductions.
2008 Photographs the local NSW wilderness coast and then super-imposes his
photographed local bird life, to create stunning Digital Art Works.
2010 Richard is listed in the 'Dictionary of Australian Artists Online" (www.daao.org.au)
2014 Published in the book "Sapphire - images and art of the sapphire coast", author,
Michelle Delle Vergin.
2015 Featured artist and a painting demonstation in 'Artist's Palette' Sept. 2015 Edition
